Relax and be guided through the vineyards of the Loire Valley on our Loire Wine Tours, taste wines and enjoy our scrumptious picnic lunch. A wine vacation with a difference. These are personal tours, many of the wine producers and their families are our good friends and you'll have the opportunity to share the results of their hard work and vast experience with them. We start in the vines, lead you to wineries with excellent reputations and taste the wide variety of wine styles that the Loire valley vineyards offer.

Micaela and Sue were captivated by La Grande Maison in 2003, immediately knowing it was the right home to welcome and share with wine loving guests. This former wine estate is in a unique position, completely surrounded by the Loire Valley vineyards of Saumur with a rich history dating back to at least the 14th century. We have been introducing guests to Loire wines and winemakers ever since, sharing our knowledge, and experiences along the way. Both of us have professional backgrounds in wine and hospitality, having worked in wineries, wine education and hotel management prior to this adventure. You'll be sure of a warm welcome, delicious wines, freshly prepared local food, extremely comfy rooms and service beyond your dreams!

FOOD & WINE TASTING
Included in our wine tour package is the opportunity to experience the dining at La Grande Maison. You will enjoy our unique Wine Sampling Supper on the first evening of your arrival, an ideal opportunity to sample a selection of local wines during your stay in the Loire Valley.
The Wine Tasting Dinner is a freshly homecooked 4 course supper which includes delicious Loire AOC wines served with each course, an apero, coffee/tea and a digestif. All produce is locally sourced and seasonal some from our own organic potager. For those interested in tasting local wines the Wine Sampling Supper is an evening not to miss when you can be sure to sample some of the delicious wines of the region many of them organic and biodynamic too!
